2014 International Arts Festival Lights Up San José
Costa Rica International Arts Festival
The International Arts Festival (FIA) is one of the largest events in San José, Costa Rica. Taking place every two years, this 26 year old festival is not just a single event, it is 10 days of artistic celebrations from concerts, film, dance, theatre and circus.
The 2014 Costa Rica FIA had it’s official opening night with an inauguration at the San José National Theater and an amazing fireworks display at Sabana Park, the main stage for many local artists and concerts for the next 10 days.
Events start as of April 3rd and will run through April 13. Although many events will take place in Sabana Park, San José’s central park, additional events will take place in a variety of venues across Costa Rica’s Central Valley.
This year’s 13th FIA will include 2,000 artists from 28 countries and is organized by the National Theatre and the Ministry of Culture and Youth.
