The summer season is in full swing here in beautiful Costa Rica, and after a successful first festival in Palmares, we’re ready for the next!

If you haven’t saved the date, get you calendars out and save the dates Friday 10th to Monday 20th. Throughout the month of February, Puntarenas town will come alive with color, costume, masks, fireworks and more, to deliver one of the most anticipated events on the Costa Rican events calendar, The Puntarenas Carnival.

The town of Puntarenas will be a buzz of activity, welcoming thousands of carnival goers, delivering artistic dislays, awe inspiring floats, masked shows, music, sport and the joy, emotion and rhythm of the groups that parade along the streets. Think Brazil but with a Costa Rican flair and you’ll get the jist! The Puntareans Carnival is in true Pura Vida spirit, its about breaking free of social and cultural ties and having one hell of a time!

During the carnival, the Carnival Queen will be chosen and crowed and the end of the Carnival herelded with a specatular fireworks show, no doubt one of the most amazing fireworks displays you will have ever seen . . . Costa Rican style! Every day delivers something different so be sure to check out their program so you don’t miss out.
