A rigorous and holistic intensive to accelerate training ,inspire and motivate greater individual effort, and prepare students for successful auditions, intensives, performances and competitions in the new year ahead.

FRANCISCO GELLA’S WORKSHOPS and INTENSIVES
Frequently called a ‘breath of fresh air’ by students, parents, teachers and directors alike, every one of Francisco Gella’s programs delivers on a central commitment: To transform hardworking young adults into remarkable young artists regardless of body type or background, and instilling a belief in them that anything is possible with hard work, a sense of purpose, and a willingness to take risks.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Highly acclaimed dance educator and choreographer Francisco Gella has introduced his revolutionary dance training technique and philosophy to hundreds of dancers around the world through private instruction and master classes. And now preprofessional dancers from college age to 8 years old have an opportunity to spend challenging and fun three-day training camp in beautiful Los Angeles. New Years Training Camp is a rigorous new holistic program that is structured to accelerate your training as a dancer, inspire you to go much further in your journey during the year ahead, and want more for your future. The technique-based program will focus on strengthening the body, mind and spirit with a structured curriculum that will build on skills each day, resulting in opportunities to demonstrate your detailed artistry before the three days are complete.

ELIGIBILITY:

Open and limited to all intermediate and advanced dancers ages 8-21 from in and outside of the United States who are serious about their training and artistry. For the purposes of this workshop, ‘Intermediate/Advanced’ is roughly defined as a student preprofessional having danced for at least two years in a studio as a company member with a minimum of 3 hours of ballet training per week and 10 hours total weekly of dance classes, or who has been enrolled in a conservatory setting with at least six hours of ballet a week and a minimum of 10 hours of total weekly dance classes. All participants must be serious about their dance training and want to improve.

CLASS SIZE:

Classes will be limited to no more than 50 dancers per group. Students will be broken into two age groups – ages 8-12, and 13 and older.
