My Digital Enemy (Zulu/Toolroom Records, UK)

My Digital Enemy have been making serious waves in the dance music world over the last three years, with their name becoming a term that is immediately associated with the most cutting edge House music. Consisting of Brighton based Serg & Kieron the duo have been working together on various projects for more than ten years.
2014 was a landmark year for My Digital Enemy. Their single ‘Don’t Give Up’ made it into the Beatport top ten selling House tracks for the whole year. It was championed by Danny Howard on Radio 1 and also reached the number 1 spot in the Beatport House Chart!
Earlier in the year ’Shamen’ was supported by Pete Tong & Danny Howard in their respective BBC Radio One shows, with it hitting number 1 in the Beatport Tech House Chart. It’s follow up ‘Desire Life’ was picked up by Universal Music Australia just weeks before their Oz tour giving MDE a major label release alongside their sellout tour.
In 2013 they managed to notch up an impressive five Beatport House top ten tracks. Three of those in the top three spot. Their original track ‘Wrong’ hit number one and stayed up there for six weeks, while their remix of Crazibiza ‘My Lips’ went on to be the sixth top selling house track on Beatport for the whole of the year!
2012 was no different with massive chart success for their remix of ‘Alter Ego – Rocker’ which was #1 on both The DMC Buzz Chart & The Beatport Tech House chart.
The guys label Zulu Records has been steadily growing since its inception at the beginning of 2012. In 2014 it has had five Beatport House Top 10 tracks two of these reaching the number 1 spot. The label seems to have hit a winning formula which has gained support from industry heavy weights Pete Tong, Duke Dumont, Fedde Le Grand, Fatboy Slim, Chuckie, Roger Sanchez, Hardwell, Steve Angello, Bob Sinclar, Mark Knight, Cedric Gervais, Axwell, AN21, Max Vangeli and a whole host of other leading dance music stars. The success of Zulu Records prompted the guys to start their second imprint Vudu Records which is where they released their Beatport Tech House number 1 record ‘Shamen’.
As well as releasing on Zulu & Vudu Records they’ve also released tracks on Toolroom, Stealth, Spinnin, Great Stuff, Hotfingers, Skint, and more…
With success like this it’s not surprising that in 2014 they deejayed in Japan, Russia, Canada, Indonesia, USA, Australia, Dubai, and of course the UK & Europe. Gig highlights include playing to 10,000 people on the main stage at Oldenbora festival in Germany, playing before Mark Knight at the Toolroom Knights party in Ibiza, New Years Eve 2014 for Ministry Of Sound at Set Club in Canada and a sell out night at the globally famous Gatecrasher Birmingham alongside Afrojack.
…So what next for My Digital Enemy? With their labels Vudu and Zulu steadily growing, continuous touring and a steady stream of releases the Brighton duo’s profile is look set to skyrocket in 2015. Keep your eyes on My Digital Enemy as they are about to explode.’
