14,000 Strike at ICE in Protest of Job Losses

More than 14,000 workers from ICE (Costa Rican Electricity Institute) are expected to go on strike today due to the recent mass layoffs by the company.  They are marching from the headquarters in Sabana at 10:30 am (8th August) towards the Presidential House in full force to protest against the job losses.

Emergency responses and hospitals will remain in full service, but many households and business will be affected today and left without electricity for several hours.
