RostiPollos Restaurant in Escazú
RostiPollos is a favorite restaurant franchise chain that was founded in Costa Rica by Mauricio Mendieta, a Nicaraguan businessman. As the name suggests RostiPollos (which means “roasty chicken”) specializes in roasted chicken, a very popular and typical dish in Central America.
Besides roasted chicken, RostiPollos menu also features other dishes such as chicken sandwiches, chicken lasagna, chicken chalupas, chicken quesadillas as well as many Central American style side dishes and salads.
The Escazú location was the first franchise that opened in 1983. There are now 16 locations to choose from in Costa Rica’s Central Valley and the San José region. The restaurant chain also has locations in Nicaragua and Honduras.
As roasted and fried chicken is a common food in Costa Rica, RostiPollos is a popular with the local community. The restaurants have a great ‘family’ style atmosphere.
