Ríos Tropicales Eco-Adventure Company

Rios Tropicales Eco-Adventure Company is one of the more popular and recognized eco-adventure companies operating in Costa Rica. Rio Tropicales has outpost locations throughout Costa Rica and provides excursions on the Pacific and Atlantic coasts and in the central and western rainforest regions. The Rio Tropicales Operation Center is located in Siquirres, Limón, however they have outposts in central San José, La Fortuna, Cañas, and Quepos.

In November 2007, Rios Tropicales was recognized by the National Geographic Adventure Online Magazine as the #1 Costa Rica Adventure Outfitter and #5 Rafting Company in the World.

Rios Tropicales Operation Center is strategically located in Siquirres as their signature trips are primarily focused on river rafting adventures on the Pacuare River. Rios Tropicales offers a variety of adventures from day excursions to four day packages that include lodging at their acclaimed rainforest “Eco-Lodge” deep within the Pacuare Protected Zone.

Ríos Tropicales was established in 1985 by native Central Americans who wanted to open Costa Rica Eco-Tourism to the world with activities such as rafting, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, and cycling, family adventures, cultural encounters, nature and wildlife tours. Their mission is to share Costa Rica’s beautiful rivers, natural resources and culture while keeping conservation values a number one priority.

Depending on where you are visiting in Costa Rica, Rios Tropicales has adventure packages for just about every region: the Pacuare River and the Reventazon River in the Turrialba region, the Tenorio River in the Pozo Azul region of Guanacaste, the Sarapiqui River in the Arenal and La Fortuna area, and the Naranjo River in the Quepos and Manuel Antonio region.

Ríos Tropicales Eco-Adventure Company offers puck-up from San José for the major of their river rafting adventures.
