Bob Dylan Concert Announced for May 5th
Yes, you heard right, the one and only legendary Bob Dylan will play for the first time ever in Costa Rica on May 5. The concert was announced this Wednesday afternoon. If you don’t know who Bob Dylan is, he is easily recognized as one of the twentieth-centuries most influential musicians who’s songs included ‘Knockin On Heaven’s Door’ and “Hurricane”.
Bob Dylan who is now 70, will be performing at the Palacio de los Deportes in Heredia, just north of San José. The Costa Rica concert is just one of many where he will be performing on his Latin American Tour. Dylan’s Latin American Tour includes stops in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Chile. The tour will mark the official release of his 35th studio album “Bob Dylan and his Band”.
It was also recently announced by concert spokesman, José Cañas in a press release that the Costa Rican folk and rock duo, “Foffo Goddy” had been invited to open for the rock and folk legend. Foffo Goddy consists of Daniel Bissinger who plays guitar and bass, and Arthur Brown who plays guitar, banjo and charango. Foffo Goddy have a very unusual musical style for Costa Rica, using vocal harmonies and string instruments while drawing musical influence from bluegrass and acoustic rock.
