Honeymooning Lifeguard Saves Swimmer whilst on Holiday in Costa Rica

Newly married, Billy Geno, a Volusia lifeguard back home in Florida, used all of his professional skills to save a life whilst on his honeymoon.

On a secluded beach in Costa Rica, with no one around to help, Billy swam to the stranded man and brought him safely back to shore.  His wife of only a few days, Christi, filmed the rescue which has now gone viral, with the story broadcasted on News 6

“This was almost like a scene out of Baywatch” the newsreader said to Matt Austin, who picked up on the story, declaring the hero lifeguard, “has your back, even when he´s on his honeymoon.”

Posting the video on her Facebook, Christi used the hashtag, #my husband the hero and the proud Volusia Surf Lifesaving Association  re-posted it with simply, “Well done Billy!”  Matt Austin concluded what everyone else would be thinking, “lets just say, the honeymoon only got better from there!”

Pointing out to their viewers, to not “let that beautiful (Costa Rican) backdrop distract you”, watch the full story below.
